Court Process

IN-PERSON COURT:

1. Parking Info:  If the parking lot is full, you may park across the street at the Steven Copeland Government Center.  DO NOT park on the side of the road.

2. You cannot bring a guest with you (unless for medical/elderly assistance or a parent/guardian for juveniles) due to limited seating in the courtroom.

3. If you have COVID-19 or a fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea; or (ii) has recently been in close contact with a person who is confirmed to have COVID-19, then you should call the court

4. Appropriate dress is required.  Hats, shorts, mini-skirts, flip flops, torso-revealing garments, offensive slogans, pictures/gestures are prohibited. Demonstrations of any kind are prohibited.  Purses, briefcases, backpacks, etc. are subject to search prior to entry into the courtroom. NO recording of proceedings without court permission. WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE PROHIBITED IN THE COURTROOM.  Violations of these rules may subject you to removal and/or contempt of court.

Please show up early to check in. Dress appropriately, and bring any documents that may be needed regarding your case.
