Compliance Dismissals

In order to have these types of violation(s) dismissed, you must submit proof that you have remedied the violation plus the dismissal fee on or before your "Appearance date" printed on the citation.

Expired Motor Vehicle Registration/License Plate

  • Must be remedy on or before the appearance date on the citation.
  • Must show proof of renewed registration.
  • Late fee must be paid to the Tax Assessor/Collector.
  • There will be a $20 dismissal fee.

Expired Driver's License

  • Must be remedy on or before the appearance date on the citation.
  • Must show proof of renewed driver's license.
  • There will be a $20 dismissal fee.

Failure to Change Address or Name

  • Must be remedy on or before the appearance date on the citation
  • Must show proof of temporary driver's license.
  • There will be a $20 dismissal fee.

Operate Vehicle With Defective Required Equipment

  • Must be remedy on or before the appearance date on the citation.
  • There will be a $20 dismissal fee.

Failure to Display Driver's License

  • Must remedy on or before the appearance date on the citation.
  • Must show proof of valid driver's license.
  • There will be a $10 dismissal fee.

Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility (FMFR)

  • Must show proof of insurance card.
  • Court will verify coverage with the insurance company.
  • There is no dismissal fee.

 

You may submit your proof one of two ways:

In-Person: You may appear at the Court window between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. M-F (except holidays) and speak with the clerk. You will need to bring your valid Texas driver's license or other government-issued photo ID and your proof of the remedied violation plus the dismissal fee (expect for FMFR (No Insurance Violation)). We accept cash, money order, or cashier's check (we do NOT accept personal checks) made out to Cross Roads Municipal Court. We also accept credit and debit cards but there will be a processing fee added to your total.

By Email: You may submit your proof by email and email it to court@crossroadstx.gov. The court will review it and respond accordingly. If approved, your violation will be officially dismissed and closed once you pay the dismissal fee (expect for FMFR (No Insurance Violation))
